Slumdogs of 'Slumdog Millionaire' are millionaires...

You might feel bad to see a series of critic posts on this blog these days. I don't know. I had the least interest in writing this post. Though I'm not eligible in writing a critic on this coz I haven't seen the movie (I'll keep the references to it to the minimum), please do read. When I say slumdogs in the title of this post, I just mean it to say 'members' and not to degrade them.

Whats irritating me these days is media and the hype it creates around silly issues. I open the newspaper to see news of only the Oscars. Do they do it every year?

Well let me tell you the story I understood from those I met whoever saw the movie.

This person, the hero is brought up in Dharavi Slum of Mumbai. He's got a childhood lover, who departs from the slum or whatever and he starts his search for her allover. This goes on and on and on... One day, he is selected for a reality show, something like 'Who wants to be a Millionaire?' and for all the questions asked over there, he'll have the answer which is obtained from some experience when he was in search for her love. Finally he becomes a millionaire, and also finds his lover I guess...

This is what I heard.

Pretty vague, plane. Sounds like some stupid Hindi movie. The movie is being directed by some Hollywood director and thats the only way it found an entry into the Oscars and other international awards.

They say that India is being wrongly picturised in the film. We had petitions signing that it should not enter the Oscars, though it failed. It won 8 Oscars. Whats so much in celebrating for the whole country if a film directed by a foreigner, depicting the country in a wrong manner wins a global award? Should we actually celebrate or criticize? I see the people of Dharavi Slums celebrating the success of the movie but their state of living in slums hasn't been changed yet. Why are they celebrating? As usual, we have these politicians commenting that 'Slumdog Millionaire' and AR Rehman has made India proud of winning an Oscar. I say CRAP. I feel shamed to hear them say that.

I might offend AR Rehman's fans when I say this but I have to say. I dont listen to much of ARR, in fact I dont listen to him at all. May be some of the blog readers (If he is reading this post, he would surely do) would expect a post from me asking why I dont actually like his music. I would answer it in a few sentences. I dont listen to his music just because, I see a sense of surrenderness in it. Its like saying, you are the one for me, without you, I don't have anything. That kinda music. That suits to certain songs but not all. This is what I felt. Do not get offended.

To add more, there are quite a few instances, wherein say i meet a person. he/she tries to get close and we share things among us. When it comes to music, I see most of them are ARR fans, and they are shocked when I say, I don't listen to him. They say 'What music do you listen to if you don't listen to ARR?' Huh! This certainly irritates me. Don't impose your taste on me. I have my own likings. There are many instances like this. Don't come to a conclusion that I don't like him coz of this reason. I just thought of sharing this.

I'm not saying that he doesnt deserve an Oscar. I'm no one to say that. I'm indifferent in that case. I haven't listned to the songs of the movie. I dont bother whether he gets it or not, but I just can't stand the hype what the media has created. He might deserve. I don't know. I'm against the media when they praise a lot. Anybody for that matter.

As a person I feel he is simple and I like that simplicity. I don't see him roaring on stage when getting an award.

On the other hand, I was watching 'The Taxi Driver', just watch it, I was shocked to hear that it didnt win an Oscar. A good movie by Martin Scorsese directing Robert De Niro. Do watch it. I feel it has a better story that Slumdog Millionaire. Its about a common man who turns a taxi driver just because he cannot sleep. He feels that the city (New York) is filled with filth and hopes that 'Someday a real rain will come and wash this scum off the streets.'

Check out the dialogues. Its really interesting. Some are really gem. I suggest you watch the movie. Watch the sequence when Travis Bickle says 'You talkin to me?' hehehe! Here is one of the gem I found.

Here is a man who would not take it anymore.
A man who stood up against the scum...
the cunts, the dogs, the filth, the shit.

More of such kinda movies are always welcomed. I don't like comparing things, but here, I say SDM doesnt come near to the Taxi Driver.

All I mean with the title is that the team members of Slumdog Millionaire are rich now. Good for them but what I intend to say is that publicity in this scale was not expected. I'm not curbing for them.

I just read the news that Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and the likes may enter Bollywood. WHY?????? To make some crap movies? Let them be what they are. Let them not enter Bollywood which is filled with crap(Exceptions are always there). The person who is pulling them in is some Feroz Nadiadwala. I see these Nadiadwala films and they are always Muslim oriented. My friend dragged me to one of his movies which I had denied to watch, the movie was named 'Welcome'. I nearly fainted when I saw a song where all of them were Hindus (on and off the screen), dancing for a song 'Inshaa Allah!!' SHAAAAA! Don't you think this Nadiadwala is a crap guy?

Hoping the De Niros and the Pacinos do not enter Bollywood.

__|__ Happy Effentine Day __|__ !!!

Before beginning the post, lemme write the disclaimer... =)

1. This post contains highly offensive material. Apologies for those who repent reading this article.

2. This post may be fictitious today, but in the near future, there are all possibilities of this getting true, thanks for the possible support from the followers/supporters/silent adherers of Valentine Day, some might have already been celebrating it.

3. Those two emoticons around the title represent the middle finger and one needs to decorate both of his/her hands while wishing on this day! Its something like \m/ for rock out!

4. The writer is not lunatic.

This post was supposed to be posted on the so called 'Valentine's Day', thanks for the problem with my PC and BSNL internet connection, Its getting posted today though it was drafted already in my mind on that day.

Yes! You read it right. Its Effentine. This word was coined in my mind on February 14th, 2009 according to the English Calendar, I thought someone would have coined the same and searched the same on google. Click on that link for results. Hardly a page that contains links to some geneology stuff, some porno links etcetera. Hopefully this post would enter the list after being posted (also, some which link/comment/protest to this post)

So, I wont claim that I coined this word but am using it for my purpose here. Offenders are neglected. In case, one needs to change, please suggest another name.

Okay! enough of disclaimer notes, why was this coined?

A few days ago, you might have seen my post on Sri Rama Sene(SRS) and its attack on pubs. Check out the post as well as the comments here. Soon after the incident, wide response awaited nationwide and supporters for the pub goers were a lot.

They thought that SRS need to be taught a lesson on Valentines' day and hence, they got together, planned to send pink under-garments to SRS from across the nation. Hehehe! Even SRS guys are intelligent. They gave a stunning reply by auctioning them starting with a meagre 25 paise and send the amount to the sender...

After writing that post, I got to know that SRS did that intentionally to get media attention and media sued it in a wrong way. I oppose SRS for doing that. It would have been better to do it without notice.

Come Feb 14th, 2009, I wake up seeing a message on my mobile which says 18,000 police(Only in Karnataka) have been alloted for a safe V-Day. CRAP! Crap news to get up with.

I open the newspaper(Deccan Herald), I see the supporters of V-Day, chilling out with beer mugs holding together, saying "Cheese" with a anti-non-valentine slogan board in the middle. Another crap news to start the day with.

Do they need a day to love? express their love? Dedicate a day for a person who allowed people to express their love openly? Then let it be in those countries where you cannot express your love freely, not in India where you are free to express any of your thoughts, not only love in an open fashion.

Then a thought struck my mind, if there are so many people who claim the right to valentine, one day will come when people fight for the right to Effentine. Note the 'F' in the word. I could have used the F word instead of Effentine, but I'm not for that. I dont want to be cheap in writing a blog using words that I wish wouldnt appear in my blog. I dont like it.

That day would surely come if the rate in which V-Day is getting celebrated in India doesn't come down.

Now don't ask me why I oppose V-Day, guess I've already written a post on that a couple of years ago. Check it out.

Coming to Effentine, who would be St. Effentine? Who else? someone like Umesh Reddy. (This was the immediate thought I got thinking of St. Effentine). Who else can decorate the position other than a person who has 23 rapes, many misbehaviours etc to his credit and so popular? If you dont like it, you can replace him with any international rapist. I dont wanna google it. DIY!

What would be the date they celebrate? May be the B'day of Umesh Reddy (Or the international rapists') or a better date would be their death anniversary. Umesh Reddy has got his death certificate now(when I write this, I see a news that Umesh Reddy is sentenced to death). That would be more relevant. I tried to google the date they would hang Mr. UR, Dint get it. Do tell us if you know.

Who would benefit with St. Effentine's Day? Obviously the Effers who celebrate it. Apart from them, who would?

1. The media, again giving the most needed publicity, hype to it.
2. Gift Centres like Archies who would come up with cards like "To my beEffed friend, I Eff you!" blah! blah! blah!
3. Telco operators, all of them, who would send you messages saying "Impress your EFFriend by having these cool ringtones, send them. Here are the samples. Some would be the dirty version of Akon's "I wanna Love you" to some regional hits like "I _______(DASH) You" from Upendra's Hollywood. who knows??
4. Politicians, who would support Effentine Day, raise it as an issue if a riot happens on its cause from guys like SRS. Also would provide huge security for a safe and sexy(?) Effentine.

List out if I've left out any. Post in your extended thoughts on Effentine's Day.

Once again, advanced wishes of St. Effentine's Day! __|__

Taj Mahal? Tejo Mahalaya?

I just got a text forward from one of my friend a week back. Here it goes...

Taj Mahal was not built by Shah Jahan. He captured it from the Rajput king Jai Singh. It was a lord Shiva's temple called 'TEJO MAHALAYA' was build 300 years before Shah Jahan. The carbon dating proves it. There are number of evidences to prove. refer www.stephon-kapps.com. Please forward it to all. Jai Hind.

actually the wesite address is mentioned wrong. Its actually http://www.stephen-knapp.com/. Please visit the site for more details. Also more articles can be obtained on google with the search string 'Taj Mahal - Tejo Mahalaya'

Details given in that site are really good. Many proofs have been given to show the fact that it was indeed a Vedic temple.

Well, this was known many years ago. I'm not gonna talk much about how it all happened. This was just another vedic temple lured by the invaders. Many temples were converted to mosques. Please read 'Aavarana' by S. L. Bhairappa for more details.

What I'd like to discuss here is the hype around the Taj.

All I see is that it is just another monument. May be the carvings during the pre-muslim period are still there and one can go to watch it. Many such vedic temples were destroyed and converted to mosques. Thats how majority of the mosques were built during the muslim rule.

Many years of the mughal rule, converted many temples to mosques and muslim sculptures. I dont have the exact count.

They say, Taj Mahal was build in memorial to Mumtaz, Shah Jahan's wife. But recent studies say that it is not her who is burried here. It was someone else. There are lotsa rumours on Taj.

What has happened in the recent years is that Taj has acquired lot of popularity. Any foreigner coming to India wishes to visit it. They say it is a symbol of love and other crap. For those who say such things, I just say that all the workers hand who worked for the renovated Taj Mahal were cut. Taj Mahal is standing on the blood of these workers.

One of my uncle was touring all over India and once he entered the Taj, he was welcomed by the stinking smell inside. Hehehe!!!

Only thing I like in the muslim architecture is the hemispherical tomb. Apart from that, I see nothing special in it.

Lets get back to 2007. That was the year when the Seven Wonders of the world was reiterated. This so called Taj Mahal was nowhere. New entries for the wonder lists were abundant.

I dont know what happened to the media & telco operators altogether. They started campaigning for Taj in India. I can't recollect the exact words in some radio show, but here is the gist.

'Taj is the pride of India. Its a shame on us, we Indians if we do not unite and vote for Taj for the seven wonders list. So what are you waiting for? Please vote "Blah blah blah" to 5XXXX and make Taj regain its position in the seven wonders' list.

CRAP! Taj is a symbol of the Muslimification of India. Its no pride. The only people who used the above vote popularity were the telco operators charging 3 or more bucks per message voted. With the millions of votes gained for Taj, it re-entered the top 7 wonders of the world list. Thanks for the huge Indian Population.

Just because it won the seven wonders prize, Radio Mirchi celebrated it by constructing a Taj Mahal made outa roses. That was the major attraction and it said, 'Thank you Bangaloreans for voting for Taj. Here is our small tribute to all of those who voted'.

Now tell me, Is this the correct way to vote for such a thing? There should be a system in contests like this say, people cannot vote for monuments of their own country and should vote for other monuments. This might give rise to a list which is close to the real seven wonders of the world.

I feel irritated when media gives such hype filled publicity for a thing which is actually not what they claim. Awake people of India, Taj is not a symbol of Love!

Pissing to glory.........

At last! I'm blogging this today.

Yes! Its about public nuisance. People pissing all around and making the city dirty.

Not only city, sometimes, even villages.

If you see the above pic, you'd recognize the place. Yes! Its the Majestic bus stand compound. You can see a villager, pissing on the wall. (At least drainage would be a bit bearable. A daily commuter sees many such examples a day.

If he just crosses the compound, he would get a toilet to pass his urine. He is lazy enough to walk or may be he couldn't tolerate it anymore. In any case, he shouldn't have done that.

Okay! Forget this, if you'd been to the BMTC bus stand in Majestic (Subhashnagar), you'd find small streams of urine here and there. Previously, say 10 years ago, you could find them only during nights, not now. They piss in open space in daylight! Thanks for the people from Bihar n Orissa (construction workers). Forgot to take a pic there. Will post it soon.

Okay! Forget that! What do you say about this pic?

Sorry to capture this pic late. Just a second before I took this pic, they were seeing mutual faces. What would've been the conversation between them??

Any Guesses??

P1: Hey! Are you free tonight?

P2 : [Enthusiastically] Yeah! Shall we meet at your place??? Ahem?? [Hahaha!! You guessed it right!]

Well, you can make fun of this. But this is a serious issue. Pissing beneath a tree or a grass would get un-noticed which is the norm in the villages but how can one tolerate it in cities? It stinks if just four of them piss in the same spot.

For the location enthusiasts, this pic was taken beside the Renaissance Apartments, Byatarayanapura.

Did you have a look at their attire? one fully dressed tiptop! Doesnt hesitate to piss in the open air.

If you ask me what should one do if he has to attend nature's call urgently? I say, hold it to the maximum extent possible(bearable) and keep searching for a lavatory. If you're right in the city, try Nirmala Shauchalaya, courtesy Infosys. Do not use places like a building compound... For the city's sake.

If it is unbearable, again, try to find a Nirmala Shauchalaya or Sulabh shauchalaya or head towards a hotel or a mall or a theatre(if you're interested in watching a movie) whatever is available. Try holding it to the last possible extent.

Need inspiration in holding? Just think of ladies pissing in public? Do they? How do they control? Think......

There are some situations wherein one doesnt have a rest room during his work. What should he do? Here is one such pic. Check it out. This was captured at the Metro Construction going on the MG Road, Brigade Road junction. He pisses right at the circle. Thanks for the fence. Just imagine that fence is not existing. How funny would that be? This is the state of the Metro construction in Bangalore.

For his kind information, he has a shauchalaya near Mayo Hall. Wont his supervisor permit him for five minutes to perform this task? Or again, is he too lazy to go there? Dont tell me that he doesnt know about the lavatory over there.

There is an empty site just in front of our house and we are fed up of scolding numerous people (day/night) for pissing. Some shit during night which gets un-noticed by us sometimes. When will they learn?

To end this post, I post this last pic which is punishable to the highest extent of all. Just check it out.

This idiot, in red shirt is pissing into the drainage just in front of Nirmala shauchalaya. Is he so poor to pay a buck to attend his nature call?

Do post in your comments and experiences....
